Anı Haritam (My Memory Map)
A personal travel-memory map: mark the cities you've visited in Türkiye, add dates, notes and photos, and optionally share your map.
Anı Haritam (“My Memory Map”) is a web app where users mark the cities they have visited on a map of Türkiye and attach dates, places visited, notes and photos to each one. As the map fills up it becomes a personal travel journal, which can optionally be shared through a public profile link. It is mobile-first and live at aniharitam.tr.
Key features
- SVG map of all 81 provinces: one-tap marking, per-city colours, a “lived here” marker, zoom and pan
- City cards with memory notes and photo uploads (with cropping and resizing); photos are served with ownership checks
- Accounts: email verification, password reset, login rate limiting and Sign in with Google (OpenID Connect with PKCE)
- Usernames, three-level sharing settings, per-city hiding and a “Travelers” discovery page
- Server-rendered shareable map images (4:5 post and 9:16 story PNGs) and link-preview cards
- Admin panel with a member list, sign-up statistics and editable email templates
Technologies
PHP 8.3 (MVC), Eloquent ORM, MariaDB, JavaScript (jQuery), Bootstrap, SweetAlert2, Cropper.js, PHP GD, PHPMailer, Docker. Built on top of an existing PHP MVC/CMS boilerplate (devnanotek).
